Peju Winery is one of my favorite wineries in Napa Valley! It’s so charming! It feels like you’re in a fairy tale when you’re there. The grounds are beautiful with a garden you can stroll through while sipping your wine. There’s even more beautiful sights and an art gallery inside. If you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy lunch while wine tasting in the valley, definitely stop at The Gibbston Valley Winery restaurant, where your waiter will perfectly pair wines with your lunch choices. Wether you want to sit indoors on a chilly day or outdoors when the weather is nice, you’ll find your surroundings cheerful and relaxing. There’s also a shop on site for those of us who like to shop! The tasting room is bright and open with plenty of room to accommodate small or large groups. The wines are versatile and easy to drink.
Not at all my kind of wine, but an interesting and fun wine tasting experience at Geneva on the Lake. The building itself is old and charming with a tasting room that is filled with firehouse and fireman memorabilia. There’s also a working carousel around back that looks out over Lake Erie. It seems a bit old and rickety, but not being one to back down from experiences, I gave it a go. I would not do it again, but everyone I was with enjoyed it. I’ll blame it on my fear of heights. There’s also a restaurant out back with a large dining area and stage for nightly entertainment in the summer and weekends in the winter. And they serve beer as well. The food caters typically to tourists, but we did order an Amazing Rueben and later found out they make the corned beef on site. It was really quite good.
First thing you’ll notice when arriving at the Peregrine Winery is the STUNNING design of the winery building which was modeled after the wingspan of the Peregrine falcon. It is spectacular. The wines are great and the tasting room is modern and classy. The 360 views are AMAZING. I would definitely recommend stoping here!
